What is the
TEACHERS’ TOOLKIT
magazine?
Teachers’ Toolkit is
a full-colour magazine (with supporting website) published four-times
per year (once per term) and distributed FREE to approximately 8 000
primary schools and into the hands of over 80 000 primary classroom
teachers throughout Australia.
Every inclusion (advertising, teaching units, etc) in the
magazine is paid for by those having an interest in primary
education, making for an effective tool for linking services
and resources with so many teachers in so many classrooms.
Teachers’ Toolkit integrates learning in the
classroom with resources beyond the classroom and provides:
- practical, classroom-friendly ready-to-use teaching plans,
ideas and activities across all key learning areas.
- clear links between classroom needs and curriculum documents.
- a useful variety of captivating, current topics and units,
with special weeks, days and events highlighted, e.g.
National Tree Day, Bike Safety Week, Anzac Day, dental
care, sport and nutrition, renewable & sustainable
energy, literacy, etc.
- information on the latest resources for schools
- destinations to visit for learning outside the classroom
- web-based research projects for students
- great educational websites for teachers and students to
visit
On tis website you can:
- download specific pages (lesson plans & promotional
pieces) of current and previous issues
- find educational resource links to assist with their
lesson planning
- access quality lesson plans created and posted by other
teachers to share
- link to resources and services that might not have
appeared in the magazine
- learn more about the sponsors supporting the magazine;
Teachers’ Toolkit is mostly targeted at teachers
of students aged 5-13 years of age although easily adapted
to higher and lower levels.
